Kit Johnson

Senior Pastor

Kit and Melissa joined our ministry team in 2019, and together they have two precious daughters, Elizabeth and Emmalyn. Kit and Melissa have served on multiple short-term mission trips to Belize and Costa Rica since 2011. Kit has been the senior pastor since June 2020. Previously, he served as a youth pastor at Bethel Baptist and pulpit supply. He earned his undergraduate from Liberty University, Master of Theological Studies from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Kit has served in the Alabama National Guard since 2011. He has been on active duty since 2016 and currently preparing for the Army’s chaplaincy school.

Brandon Walker

Youth Pastor

Brandon joined our ministry team in 2020. While this is Brandon and Kaydra’s first time ministering together as newlyweds, they each have backgrounds working with youth and children. Brandon has a bachelor’s degree from AUM and is set to start a master’s program at Troy University in the Fall of 2021. His daily occupation involves leading, developing, and mentoring high school students in the surrounding counties. Both Brandon and Kaydra have also served on foreign mission trips. Brandon has served in the Army National Guard since 2015, in which he has been active
duty since 2019.

Keith Hocutt

Music Minister

Keith joined our ministry team at FBC Elba upon returning to Elba in 2014. Keith is an Elba native, and he and his wife, Carolyn, minister together at FBC Elba. Keith earned his B.S. and master’s degrees from Auburn University and a Master of Divinity degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (SEBTS). Keith and Carolyn have two grown daughters and a son in college. Keith and his family served as missionaries in Belize, CA, and Peru, SA, before returning to the U.S. in 2009.
